Since leaving school at the age of 17 I have worked in the electrical and civil industries. During that time, I have gained vast hands-on knowledge &

experience in supervision, management, HR issues and dealing with client needs. With that time &

Street Lighting Contracts Manager & Civils Contracts Manager - Sedona Civils - Sittingbourne, Kent

At Sedona I was initially employed to run a street lighting contract covering the whole of Kent which oversaw 16 employees and 4 admin staff to deliver a high-quality service to the public & stakeholders of Kent County Council. I then moved to oversee 30 site engineers working across the southeast to deliver excavation and reinstatement works to 8 clients.

Assistant Contracts Manager – Street Lighting Manager - Amey - Ashford, Kent

I started my role with Amey as an Assistant Contracts Manager & was promoted in 2013 to the role of Contracts Manager. What this entailed was the overseeing & management of 40 site engineers and 7 admin staff for 112,000 streetlights across Kent.

Area Manager - May Gurney - Chelmsford, Essex

I started as a site-based operative then progressed through various roles including Supervisor, Contracts Manager, Depot Manager & Area Manager. While working as an Area Manager my role included:

• Managing 4 depots & 11 London street lighting contracts
• Overseeing 100+ site-based operatives, 12 administrators & 4 managers
• Responsible for all P&L targets
• Direct involvement in all TUPE transfers
