I currently work for BT as a CCNA certified 2nd Line Network Support Engineer in their Enterprise Managed Services sector, and I have over 15 years of experience in a networking/IT services role. In my current role I provide technical network support on a wide range of WAN/LAN/WLAN/SDWAN/Meraki issues for enterprise level managed networks for customers across the UK & internationally, as well provide technical support to our field engineering team for on-site network diagnostics, repairs & upgrades.
I am due to leave BT due to redundancy as my role is being outsourced from 31st October 2023.
I am proactive & highly motivated in my role. I enjoy troubleshooting & fault finding in network environments. I work well on my own & take ownership of reported faults, managing them to their resolution.
I also enjoy working within a team environment, collaborating with other members to find solutions for our customers. I have excellent attention to detail and take pride in my work at resolving all sorts of networking issues for our customers as quickly and efficiently as possible. I am willing to take on more complex faults & am not adverse to asking for help with issues I do not fully understand as it is an opportunity to learn.
I have been CCNA R&S certified from 2019 & have recently recertified via Cisco's Continuous Education program. Additionally, I have completed the Engineering Cisco Meraki Solutions 1 and 2, and the Fortinet NSE 4 & 5 courses. I am always looking to develop my skills & aim to gain CCNP within the next year. I am also very keen to expand into other areas of networking/IT such as cyber security, cloud services, load balancers, design, & automation.
I am looking for a new opportunity to continue to utilise and develop my skills and progress my career within networking/IT.
