Paul Edwards

My name is Paul Edwards and I am a qualified Music Teacher.

I have current experience from working at YBC from my placement with Apollo Teaching agency from mid September 2023 and in this time I’ve enjoyed learning about the school and working with the students.

I have very relevant experience for this role where I was previously employed as the Primary Department Music Coordinator at Heronsbridge School. In my time at Heronsbridge I taught students across all departments and Key Stages. I employed specific strategies and techniques to aid learning, to help all pupils participate, and to manage challenging behaviour.

For my last role at Heronsbridge I was working part time with pupils with moderate learning difficulties and pupils with PMLD.

I have also worked with pupils who have other additional needs including Autism, ADHD, ODD, Aspergers and I tailor my communication with all pupils accordingly.

I feel that I have a good ability for developing rapport with all students and I always aim to keep continued mutual respect.

I work well in a team and I am happy working with other support staff and teaching staff. I have found staff to be very helpful and friendly in my time so far at YBC.

Producing bespoke music for client needs by liaising with music supervisors and working promptly to short deadlines. I write a lot of guitar based rock and pop music for this company.
