SENIOR CREDIT RISK & PRICING ANALYST, EVOLUTION MONEY

Responsible for shaping and implementing the business’ second-charge mortgage strategy.

• Lead responsibility for the Product & Pricing Committee and contributor to the Credit

Risk Committee and all related subcommittees the business

• Designed the business’ first prime product range, and developed the decision engine via a 3rd party platform with integrated automated valuations
• Redesigned the I&E affordability assessment in response to the cost-of-living crisis,

including changes to expenditure assumptions and stress-testing

• Proof of concept approved for dynamic risk-based pricing using scorecard modelling, to improve competitiveness whilst accurately provisioning for known risk factors
• Identified significant weaknesses in the business’ mortgage systems as part of a wider assurance review, with a successful recommendation to invest in a new system provider
• Delivered the business’ first back book interest rate changes following successive increases in the Bank of England base rate

PRICING & ANALYTICS MANAGER, THE CO-OPERATIVE BANK

Managing the Bank’s mortgage portfolio with £11Bn of assets and £250M monthly originations.

• Consistently achieved volume and margin targets by the regular re-pricing of the Bank’s residential and buy-to-let product ranges
• Monitored new business and retention performance, market risk exposure and competitor activity to determine the required pricing changes on a fortnightly basis
• Maintained financial models to generate margins, P&L, and hedging requirements

ASSISTANT MANAGER - PRICING & ANALYTICS, THE CO-OPERATIVE BANK

Supporting mid-senior management in mortgage pricing, forecasting and analytics.

• Automated the tracking of competitor price changes, to anticipate changes in new business performance and improve pricing decisions
• Developed a propensity model for outbound retention strategies, identifying at-risk customers for promotions, whilst protecting passive customers on higher margins
• Implemented the Financial Promotions requirements across all customer-facing platforms, as part of the EU Mortgage Credit Directive
