Paula Campbell-powell

I began my NHS journey in 1999 as a Healthcare Assistant of which I thoroughly enjoyed and my passion for nursing began. I worked in this role for 18 more years while having my family, and during this time I felt I could give more to the patient journey. By now I had gained an interest in furthering my education.

I started the Trainee Nurse Associate role in 2017 in which time I gained experience in surgery, community, specialist areas such as gynaecology and mental health and finally in medicine of which I now practice as a Nursing Associate. As a Registered Nursing Associate, I deliver care within the standards of the NMC code of conduct. I am an accountable professional, promoting health and preventing ill health, providing, and monitoring care.

Working within a team and being able to communicate with other health care professionals. I strive to improve patient safety and quality of care by using risk assessments and care plans.
