Although I have spent the last 26 years with the NHS many of the skills I have gained are transferable, e.g. understanding strategy, leadership, team management, motivating others and problem solving to name a few. Whilst in my twenties and early thirties, I worked in the hotel and hospitality industry which absolutely honed my people skills. I also have good organisational skills and a keen ability to learn and adapt to any situation I work in.
I pay great attention to detail and I believe I exhibit courtesy and respect for all. I can accept direction and complete tasks unobtrusively. I hold a clean UK driving licence and a current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate.
I have 26 years' experience within the Ambulance Service managing people, systems and processes, delivering excellent patient care. This year my department won two very significant awards in our industry, Accredited Centre of Excellence and Emergency Medical Dispatcher of the Year. I have recently lead a £1000,000 refurbishment in both of our Emergency Operations centres whilst still delivering and achieving all standards, in a live environment.
