My approach to design is investigative; to understand the function & human interaction of the space or the object. Informed by these, the end objective then becomes more defined (form follows function). I enjoy the possibilities and limitations of materials. I am fascinated by each stage of the design process, from the pencil to the computer, to the build and assembly of each design project.
As a co-founder of Assemblyroom, I have worked on a wide range of interior & furniture design projects, from local businesses to global brands which include workplace, residential and retail projects. I have also designed & manufactured furniture for the contract market; pieces which have been specified in a variety of commercial interiors, from the BBC to Red Bull Racing.
