I performed as Mama Ogre and later voiced the Dragon in Shrek the Musical. These roles allowed me to work with students from younger year groups, acting as a role model and learning from them also. This is demonstrative of my confidence and my interpersonal skills.

Member - Ignite Programme - The Advocacy Academy

(2026-05 - 2026-05)

I partook in a 2-day Ignite programme at The Advocacy Academy (TAA).

We explored: experiential social justice, systems of analysis of social justice issues, understanding power dynamics in society, having brave conversations, storytelling and leadership development, boundary setting, care for self, community care, power and self interest analysis, methods of making change, how to do relational work as an organiser, and peer-to-peer learning. I also had the pleasure of learning from other young people at TAA about the campaigns they had started and gotten involved in e.g., The Halo Collective and Lost Lessons. This developed my sense of organisation and proactivity as I was able to learn from young people who were making active efforts to make a difference.
