I have gained a wealth of transferrable skills in art and photography from my varied job roles and during my degree at Middlesex University including framing artworks for artist exhibitions. I am an enthusiastic and friendly person who enjoys meeting new people and I am seeking to take all of my skills and experience into a new role.
During my time at University I had access to a darkroom where I learned fibre based printing for archival storage and framing for the prints. We also had state of the art equipment for our projects. I am currently in the process of building my own darkroom space as this is my favourite method of printing. This is where I will have the opportunity to delve more into printing and experimenting with different photography techniques such as wet and dry plate collodion.
My major project at university was on mental health and my dissertation was on the hospitalisation of patients and art therapy. This is where I had the pleasure to meet Tim Walker who thought my work was brutally honest and totally relatable.
I have worked as a volunteer tutor at my local college.
In the travel industry on ships where I got to travel and make long life time friends across the world.
I have also worked in photolabs making prints for customers as well a framing company.
In between these jobs I have worked as a waiter, barista in local coffee shops.
