Working with bespoke luxury furniture. Creating high quality designs for clients around the UK, France and Germany. A focus on kitchen design but often working with other areas of the home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attending meetings with the clients and noting down their needs and wants.
- Providing innovative ideas and concepts to meet the needs of my clients.
- Preparing and maintaining design budgets.
- Liaising with electricians, plumbers, interior designers and builders to ensure clarity throughout the design process.
- Creating technical plans, elevations and high quality rendered images.
- Working alongside marketing executive to create imagery/video work for the website and social media.
- Training new members of staff on the design software.
- Working on a high volume of design projects at once, being able to manage the workload effectively.
- Informing clients about materials used in design such as paint colour, worktop, handles and appliances.
- Adhering to all design regulations and informing clients regarding any necessary changes to the layout.
- Staying updated on all the latest kitchen design trends.
- Using Asana and CRM software’s to keep diary up to date and organised
BEDROOM, LIVING AND OFFICE DESIGNER / SELF EMPLOYED

My introduction to the world of interior. This role initiated my obsession with designing rooms and selling a product to be proud of. Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake design project from concept to completion.
- Managing my own diary efficiently. Often provided with clients through the business but also having the initiative to source my own leads.
- Visiting customers’ homes to initially measure up and working closely together to digitally create their vision on artiCAD and bring to life.
- Taking control in a friendly way within customers’ homes to ensure the design visit runs smoothly.
- Presenting designs professionally making sure to emphasise the solutions to all their current storage problems. I also demonstrated furniture, fabric and handle samples.
- Working collaboratively with surveyors and fitters to ensure all the customers’ expectations are met.
- Giving quotes and going through the different repayment methods.
- Ultimately taking payment either online, over the phone or taking cash directly to the bank.
- Completing follow up calls and revisiting customers to see my creations in action.

- Working in the biggest and busiest stores of the brand gave me experience in working in a highly fast paced environment whilst remaining calm and paying attention to detail.
- Experience in selling luxury items.
- Presenting a high level of product knowledge on all the in store and online garments.
- Having a strong understanding of the latest trends and being able to confidently present these designs to customers.
- Stock replenishment, deliveries and online digital orders.

First position in the working world that resulted in me being a highly regarded member of staff, being a key holder for two different stores at one time. I was also known to cover for management and trained several underperforming team members on effective sales techniques.
- Independently ensure smooth opening, running and closing of stores, Given full responsibility of lone trading on Sundays.
- To ensure the development of consumer loyalty to help build the body shop brand. I had a 95% conversion rate of the loyalty scheme which was unheard of within the brand.
- Undertaking conference calls with regional managers and relaying information to my team.
- Reconciling cash from tills at the end of each working day, ensuring accurate amounts are bank each week.
- Conducting stock takes and fire alarm checks.
- Hosting events out of store hours.
