Phoebe Price

I'm a motivated, hard working, and reliable student currently studying full-time at Bridgend College, I am looking to gain more practical experience in a variety of different industries. I'm organised, approachable, and enjoy working, whether this is independently or part of a team.

I have worked at a riding centre for two years (June 2024-present). Here, I assist with daily tasks, including yard duties, horse care, and maintaining a safe environment for both the animals and customers. I interact with children and adults by assisting them while around the horses and sharing my knowledge, which has helped me build my confidence and communication skills greatly.

I also demonstrate the ability to follow instructions carefully, as well as showing my own initiative where appropriate. Through this role, I have learnt to work as part of a small team effectively and developed my responsibility, time management, and attention to detail.

I'm currently studying Level 3 Animal Industries at Bridgend College, which is an A-level equivalent course. I study a wide range of subjects surrounding animal care, wildlife, and behaviour, while managing multiple deadlines and coursework for each subject. This course has allowed me to further expand my knowledge, work independently and in group based tasks, and improve my communication and organisation skills.

I believe that it has also given me several transferable skills that I could use in a variety of different work sectors and environments. Before starting college, I completed my GCSE's at Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Glantaf, achieving grade C or above in all subjects, English and Maths included. I'm also fluent in Welsh, having completed my primary and secondary education at Welsh-medium schools.
