Volunteer - Aberlady Nursery School
During S4 Year at High School, volunteered two afternoons a week at Aberlady Nursery School. Nurtured and helped all young children, particularly those with English as a Second Language and those with special needs. Worked as part of a team to encourage children to learn through play and loose parts, both inside and outdoors.
Helped encourage children to play fairly and used distraction when a child was feeling overwhelmed. Being welcomed by the children each week has convinced of the desire to follow a career path in Early years Settings.
