With over two years of experience as a registered nurse, I have had the opportunity to work in both medical and surgical wards. During this time, I have developed a strong foundation in patient care, assessment, and intervention. My experience in medical wards has allowed me to manage patients with a variety of long-term conditions, while my time in surgical wards has honed my skills in post-operative care and recovery.

I have also looked after palliative and end-of-life patients, ensuring their comfort and dignity during their final stages. Additionally, I have experience with patients who require Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) and mental capacity assessments. I am well-versed in safeguarding protocols, ensuring the protection and well-being of vulnerable patients.

My experience extends to working in cardiac wards, walk-in centres, ITU, orthopaedic wards, and oncology wards. I am competent in procedures such as port-a-caths, PICCs, cannulation, venepuncture, glucagon stimulation tests, and Ialuril bladder instillation.
