Upon completion of a secretarial course and voluntary work for the NHS in 1994, I then joined the sector and started working at Pallion Health Centre. My job role at the time involved answering telephone calls to make appointments for the treatment room and also taking messages for the health visiting team and District nursing team. In addition, I also had the responsibility of ordering specialist equipment for specific patients and ensuring that these were delivered correctly and on time.
In May 2014 I applied for a new job role within a busy Primary Care Centre, I worked as a Receptionist across various Primary Care Centres and had done so for the past 6 years. My daily duties included taking personal details from walk in patients, before booking them onto the Adastra system. In addition, I am well established in using the Meditech system to book patients in for x-rays and ultrasound appointments.
Other aspects of my job included monitoring waiting times, directing patients and booking in referrals across other departments in the NHS, as well as being aware of the importance of information governance across the company. I believe that I work well as part of a team whilst delivering excellent reception duties and service to the public. Having dealt with many patients over the years, I have gained confidence in abundance and always look for new challenges.
I am very professional with a kind and empathetic manner and very always understanding with patients. I am interested in more challenges, I have 32 Years admin and reception experience so very knowledgeable and patient and kind towards my colleagues and patients. I am very flexible with my hours and am looking for part time work 2 or 3 days a week preferred.
