Domestic Assistant - Bollingbroke House care home - Barnsley

In my current role I am employed as a domestic assistant. My daily routine includes sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming and ensuring all areas are kept clean and tidy to the highest standards. I also help in laundry, which includes washing, drying and ironing residents clothes and bedding.

Domestic Assistant - Methodist Homes (MHA) - Barnsley

I was employed in a care home for the elderly as a domestic assistant. My duty in this role was to maintain cleanliness and general tidiness of residents rooms, bathrooms, offices and communal areas, including carpet and mattress cleaning. This required me to dust, hoover, mop and make sure residents rooms were kept well organised and tidy.

I ensured that spaces within the home were comfortable and safe for both residents, their families and staff. The home in which I worked has been rated outstanding by the CQC which means I had to keep all areas cleaned to the highest of standards. I also had to make sure that all cleaning equipment used was maintained correctly and was stored in a safe and clean condition.

I was required to understand and adhere to Control of Substances Hazardous to Health regulations and had a responsibility to help protect infection control within the building.

Cleaner - Kexborough primary school - Barnsley

I was employed by norse as a cleaner at Kexborough Primary School. My duties here included dusting, sweeping, mopping, emptying bins and keeping areas such as classrooms, canteens, offices and toilets clean to a high standard. I had to follow health and safety at all times and report any defects or damages to the appropriate person.

Deputy Store Manager - ALDI - Barnsley

In this position, my primary role as a manager was to ensure the daily functioning of my store and employees. I worked for this company for just over 10 years in total and was promoted to deputy manager after just 6 months. ALDI is an incredibly fast paced environment and being a manager here is very varied on a daily basis.

You can be required to serve customers on the tills one minute and then working stock the next. All the while, organising staff, running the safe and assisting to customer enquiries. This role taught me to multi task and to keep a level head under pressure whilst maintaining the highest level of customer service.

In the last 4 months of my employment with ALDI I was in charge of all aspects of cleaning done within the store. These duties included sweeping, mopping and floor cleaning both the shop floor and staff and customer areas. I also kept the outside of the store tidy to the highest standards, including litter picking and attending to the plants and flowers.

Telephone Sales - o2 Telefónica Germany - Rotherham, South Yorkshire

In this role I was part of a team of colleague's who provided different services via telephone. Some of my duties included working for collections. I offered debt management solutions which helped individuals to settle arrears.

I also worked on the complaints department, to which I had to deliver fair outcomes for customers whilst keeping the interests of the business at heart. I too worked on the retentions department where I was responsible for increasing revenue for the business by retaining customers. I held this position for almost 6 years in which I consistently achieved and exceeded targets set by the business.

Department Supervisor - Wm Morrisons Supermarkets - Rotherham

I began working at Morrisons supermarket whilst studying at college. I had only been working for the company a few months when I was asked by the store manager if I would like to be a department supervisor. I accepted the offer and flourished in my role.

Some of my responsibilities were to ensure the daily functioning of my department and colleagues. This included staff rotas, stock ordering and maintaining the highest standards in customer service. I was in charge of hiring and training new staff on my department and was a motivational leader for new starters, ensuring they hit their full potential.
