Garsons is a family run business. I worked in the gift department where I had my own section to look after and maintain.

Junior Hair Dresser / Hairdressing Apprentice - Designers Salon

I started working at Designers at the age of 15 as a Saturday girl. When I left school in 2013 I was taken on full time on a two-year apprenticeship programme. I had a personal hairdressing trainer that came in to the salon once a month to do different hair courses with me such as colouring, cutting, blow-drying, perms & shampoo and sets, from this I obtained an NVQ Level 2 diploma in hairdressing.

I completed this in 2015 and went on to work with Designers as a junior hair dresser. Sadly my boss passed away suddenly in 2018 and I was subsequently made redundant in 2019. The salon closed in 2020.

• Completed hairdressing courses including colouring, cutting, blow-drying, perms, shampoo and sets

• Worked on reception desk booking clients in for appointments

Pet Groomer (Work Experience) - Posh Pet Parlour - Weybridge, Surrey

For work experience I worked as a pet groomer in a salon called Posh Pet Parlour in Weybridge, surrey for one week in May 2010. I enjoyed working with dogs, cats and rabbits.

• Bathed dogs
• Watched stylists grooming the pets and got involved at any opportunity
