Rachel Tang

Born and raised in Singapore, English is the native language of my country. I have dabbled in the freelance copywriting industry for more than 1.5 years, granting me ample experience in writing both long and short form copies. While I am currently pursuing a degree in English Language and Linguistics in the UK, I also hold a diploma in Business Management (with a dual specialisation in Retail E-commerce and Events Management).

I ventured into the freelance copywriting scene in Feburary 2022. I have always had a knack for writing, which led me to dive into the profession head first. I started small by writing for a Singaporean swim school.

Thereafter, I moved on to writing for a marketing agency that has been around for more than two decades. There, I produced listicles, social media copies, and long-form articles that centered around all things Pets and Weddings. While doing so, I was also contracted for a 5-month stint as a full-time copywriter for a manufacturing company.

During my time there, I worked round the clock to research and write for a private exhibition that they were holding for visitors from the governmental sector.

My diploma in Business Management has trained me to think capitalistically and from a marketing perspective. This aids in writing copies that sell. Furthermore, my current degree (BA in English Language and Linguistics) supplements and further polishes my writing style.
