Research thesis: “Soft soil reinforced with granular pile mat system: Analysis and Model tests” • Performed long duration, load controlled model tests on groups of floating granular pile- mat foundation placed in a slurry deposited soft soil bed under fully drained loading and examined the failure pattern by the exhumation technique • Undertaken laboratory tests to evaluate the parameters of constitutive relationship of the constituent materials for their use in numerical simulation of the group of floating granular pile-mat foundation and . . RAMANA R YERUVA | CV compared the results of the laboratory triaxial tests on these materials with the results of the finite element analyses of the triaxial tests using these constitutive parameters • Undertaken a three-dimensional elasto-plastic finite element analysis of soft soil reinforced with granular pile-mat simulating the soft soil by modified Cam-clay model and the granular material by Mohr-Coulomb model • Calibrated the finite element predictions by comparing the predicted results with the measured results of the model tests on groups of floating granular pile mat foundation
