My responsibilities included assisting with administrative tasks and observing HR processes such as recruitment, employee support, and workplace management. I also had the chance to ask questions and learn how HR contributes to supporting staff and ensuring the company runs smoothly.
This experience helped me develop professional skills. I also gained an understanding of workplace professionalism, how to manage tasks efficiently, and the importance of supporting others in a team. Overall, it provided valuable insight into corporate HR operations and the skills needed to succeed for a passion of mine.
HR and SPA reception - Grove Hotel

During my work experience at The Grove Hotel, I saw the Human Resources department and the spa reception. In HR, I helped with administrative tasks, observed how staff are managed, and learned about recruitment processes and the importance of organisation and confidentiality. At the spa reception, I interacted with customers, helped with bookings, questions, collections, ensured guests were welcomed in a friendly and professional manner.
This experience helped me develop strong communication and customer service skills, as well as confidence when speaking to new people. I also improved my organisational skills and learned how to remain calm and professional in a busy environment. Overall, it gave me valuable insight into how a professional workplace operates and the importance of teamwork and attention to detail.

I had to listen to pep talks and 2 people explaining about the company and their role. Then went through presentations and the tasks they complete and how and gave me an idea of what they do and to see if I have an interest. Talked about business coming through and what they do, skills or education you need for it.
My mum showed me her tasks and how she does them. This experience helped me develop an understanding of workplace responsibilities, improve my organisational skills, and see how teams collaborate to achieve goals. I also learned the importance of reliability, attention to detail, and adapting to different tasks in a professional environment.

I went to the office and saw the pep talks and listened to some presentations and people talking to me about a day in a life what is the job and facts about it. I followed my auntie and got to see what she does and some of the tasks she gets sets. I got to see some of the businesses that comes in.
I worked on tasks that involved researching information, analysing case studies, and contributing ideas to help improve business performance. I also observed how consultants collaborate with clients and present solutions in a clear and professional way. This experience helped me develop my critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as I learned how to break down complex problems and consider different solutions.
I also improved my communication and teamwork skills through group discussions and presentations.
Volunteering - Morocco adoption centre

During my volunteering at a family-run adoption centre, I supported the care of babies by holding, feeding, changing, and entertaining them. I also assisted with day-to-day tasks such as buying groceries, preparing supplies, and helping maintain a clean and safe environment. This experience helped me develop responsibility, patience, and strong organisational skills, as I had to manage multiple tasks while ensuring the babies' needs were met.
I also improved my communication and interpersonal skills, learning how to interact kindly and effectively with both children and adults.
