I’m a psychology graduate from the University of Warwick, currently completing my MSc in Mental Health: Psychological Therapies at Queen Mary University of London. I’m passionate about supporting people through challenges and helping them feel empowered in their own lives.
I have experience as an Active Response Worker with the NHS Volunteer Service, where I developed strong skills in empathetic listening, crisis response, and providing calm, non-judgmental support in difficult situations. My academic background and volunteering have strengthened my ability to understand people’s needs, communicate sensitively, and maintain professionalism under pressure.
As someone from a Muslim and non-Western background, I also bring cultural competence and an appreciation of how personal, social, and cultural contexts shape people’s experiences. I’m motivated to pursue a career as a support worker where I can use my skills, education, and personal insight to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
