- Manage all daily yard operational, warehousing & logistics activities across the sites, whilst driving process and operational efficiencies.
- Manage and coordinate all goods in and picking operations, ensuring, and improving a level of productivity, profitability and efficiency which meets the site's business requirements.
- Fully align all site operational activities with commercial goals, to deliver short, medium and long-term business objectives, drive cultural change to deliver process efficiencies whilst improving health and safety, quality, and customer delivery performance.
- Integral part of the site Leadership Team, playing a leading role in the strategic development and direction of the business.
- Ensure that operations, (including 3rd party workers or suppliers), are conducted in a manner which fully complies with Barrett Steel Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental and Group policies, and all relevant legislative requirements.
- Supervise the Team Leaders and continually achieve and, wherever possible, exceed productivity, customer service and quality target levels across the range activities undertaken by the site.
- Develop a 'safety-first' approach within Operations.
- Ensure that a strong customer-focus is created throughout the site and sustained, through standardised application of lean techniques.
- Improve all yard /site processes from order receipt through to the fulfilment of customer deliverables.
- Drive organisational improvements at every level across both sites taking responsibility, and accountability for performance management of all relevant staff.
- Ensure that all warehouse staff are working effectively, and site is maintained at the highest standard.
- Develop and embed a culture of continuous improvement across the sites.
- Ensure the operational capacity, including processing and distribution, satisfies customer requirements both current and projected.
- Ensure that both sites operate effective for storage and agreed good in procedures to maintain the integrity of stock.
- Maintain and recommend improvements as necessary to the condition and performance of site.
- Maintain site security and protect assets to limit liability and minimise loss.
Supply Chain Manager - Mathiesons Bakery - Larbert

- Responsible for providing leadership to the Supply Chain Team and across all supply chain functions.
- Represent Supply Chain within the Senior leadership team.
- Recruitment, mentoring and development of supply chain staff, leading by example and responsible by example in behavioural standards coaching and encouraging individual teams to achieve first class results across all areas of operational activities.
- Gather, collate and present all information on KPI performance across all areas of supply chain activities.

- Lead the Logistics team to achieve the day to day operational targets and achieve KPIs in relation to health and safety, performance, quality, labour utilisation, material control and waste.
