During my first year at Northampton College, we had the opportunity to take part in work experience. One of these experiences involved exploring the architecture around Northampton. Through our own research, we investigated what people appreciate most about Northampton's architectural buildings.
Using the research that we have gathered, we developed a group project presenting ideas for future architectural developments that reflect the preferences of Northampton's residents. By doing this work experience, I was able to develop my teamwork and communication skills by analyzing public opinions on local architecture and contributing to a group project proposing future developments.
Construction Assistant - Family Business

I work as an assistant in my family's construction business, with a primary focus on tiling. I have installed wall tiles in kitchens and bathrooms, consistently ensuring a high-quality finish. I also carry out basic carpentry work, primarily involving door installation and fitting hardware such as handles and hinges. In my role, I use a range of hand and power tools safely and effectively. I maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times while following health and safety practices.
Worship Team Member - Volunteer - Amazing Grace Church – Northampton - Northampton

Every Sunday, I serve as a member of the Worship Team at my church. My responsibilities include assembling and setting up all the necessary equipment for the choir. This involves preparing and connecting various electrical components such as cameras, sound systems, computers, and other technical equipment to ensure smooth and successful worship services.
Doing volunteer work at my church allows me to develop technical and problem-solving skills by setting up and managing audio-visual equipment for weekly services, ensuring everything runs smoothly in a live environment while working as part of a team.
