Appointed Person - Copthall Tunnel (HS2/SCS)

Copthall Tunnel consist of multiple sites, Gate 1, Gate 2, Gate 3 and NSPA. I was mainly based at Gate 2, where we were building an 800m RC frame tunnel, with world first roof and walls traveller, at the peak times of works we had a maximum of 9 cranes, mobiles and crawlers combined. From the 60t crawler being the smallest to 300t crawler crane.
All works were conducted by Kilnbridge, but we were in charge to supply crane and operators. We also had a 60t crawler inside a steel yard which was off-loading deliveries and loading trailers with the right steel required by the tunnelling team.

Crane Supervisor - West Ruislip (HS2/SCS)

West Ruislip portal it's a very complex part of area WEST HS2. We had to do the portal which is 200mm long with base slabs that were 3 days/nights to complete a concrete pour. After the portal was completed we moved on into assembly the two TBM machines, ready for launching, in the meantime we had a segment yard which we had to make and install two gantry cranes for the offloading of segments ready to be sent into the tunnel once TBM launches, another important task was to set up a muck bin, which was surrounded by concrete precast walls for strength for all the muck coming from the tunnel, alongside installing all the conveyor and belts.

Main aim was patrolling 4-5 sites daily and completing reports to works manager to how lifting is being carried out though out the sites. Also was involved in putting together the launching girder, which is the biggest one in the world that come to Europe for the viaduct in Rickmansworth.
