Senior care worker at Residential Children's home (2019-01 – Present)
I provide high quality care and support to young people, promoting their emotional wellbeing encouraging independence, confidence and positive behaviour in young people. As a senior member of staff, I lead shifts and ensure the home runs smoothly and carry out supervisions with other carers and maintain high safeguarding, complete health and safety checks and that the care standards are followed by all carers. I assist with recruitment and support in induction of new carers and liaise effectively with outside agencies.
I complete detailed reports and maintain accurate records and documentation and advocate for the young people in reviews and planning meetings to achieve best outcomes for the young people.
Baby Room Leader at Orchard Trees Day Nursery
Whilst working in the nursery, I provided high quality care for babies and young children in a private nursery setting and supported children's learning and development through play-based activities, observations and planning. I maintained a safe, clean and welcoming environment at all times and built positive relationships with parents, carers and colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for children.
