• Strictly follow all health & safety, food hygiene and safety regulations at all times — including COSHH, temperature control, allergen management and cross-contamination prevention
• Check for and remove hazards: clear spillages, secure trailing wires, store items safely and keep walkways clear to prevent accidents
• Work safely with high-temperature ovens, sharp tools and machinery; use correct protective equipment and follow operating procedures
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitisation and waste disposal according to safety policies
• Help make sure all safety signs, procedures and legal requirements are followed by everyone in the workplace
• Understand why rules exist — not just following them, but helping keep the whole environment safe for staff and customers

• Carry out basic risk assessments: inspect pitches, equipment and areas before every session to identify and remove hazards
• Follow safeguarding, child protection and welfare policies to protect children from harm
• Teach and enforce safe behaviour, correct use of equipment and injury prevention
• Follow emergency procedures, keep accurate incident/accident records and report any safety concerns immediately
• Ensure all activities are planned and run within safe limits and fully comply with club and FA safety standards
