Used the time to travel, improve my fitness, take classes in art and tai chi, spend time with family and friends and rethink my future.

(2023-09 - 2024-03)
I have an up to date DBS certificate. The job required a flexible, hands-on approach, and the ability to engage with members of the public, and support colleagues with events and record keeping. I left (on good terms) because there was not enough work for me.
Business Support Officer - Citizens Advice Cymru
(2015 - 2023)
Flexibility was a key part of this job, as I started out providing administrative support to 4 teams with a wide variety of demands and was called upon to assist other directorates as needed. I also was required to learn how to use Google Suite (previously I used Microsoft) and in-house finance, requisitioning, travel and website software. In order to help communication between teams I initiated weekly chats between staff who wanted to participate, and during lockdown I was concerned for my colleagues' morale so I put together Weekly Wellbeing emails and online chats.
In my last few months I worked for the new Wales Director helping him settle in to Citizens Advice Cymru and organising his diary, expenses and travel. Sadly, the team I had been part of had left, and my role had changed to that of P.A. I left to pursue what I thought would be an opportunity to do more varied work as part of a team.
Reception / Administrator (Casual) - Llandaff Chiropractic Clinic
(2013 - 2015)
Medicine Counter Assistant/Web - Washington Pharmacy, Penarth
(2012 - 2013)
Washington Pharmacy not only dispensed prescriptions but had holistic practitioners and a large shop which stocked a wide variety of products. I used the electronic till, updated the website, displayed stock, took inventory and replenished as necessary. I advised the general public on over-the-counter medicines, referred them to the pharmacist, booked people for vaccinations and appointments with the holistic therapist and chiropodist.
Customer service was of utmost importance as was the need to be professional, presentable and punctual. I left because standing all day was causing pain.
