I hold a Bachelor's degree (MBBS) in Medicine and two postgraduate Master's degrees from the University of Edinburgh (ChM with Distinction) and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Bangladesh (MS in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, 1st Class). Currently, I am working towards a PhD (Year 3) in Biological Sciences with a focus on Stroke and Cerebral venous thrombosis at the Royal Holloway University of London (RHUL), UK. In my current role as a PhD Research Fellow at the RHUL, I have had the opportunity to work on various research projects, develop research questions, analyse data, and write and publish original and review reports in good journals.
I have over ten years of experience as a researcher since my surgical residency training program and one year as an AE (academic editor) at the PLOS ONE journal and Springer Nature Journal (BMC Research Notes). Furthermore, I have four years of experience as an assistant professor at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Bangladesh, where I finished several research projects and published the study results in good journals.
I am organised and detail-oriented, with strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to think critically. I am comfortable working independently as well as part of a team and passionate about research and journal editor work.
