- Supervising regulatory and government stakeholder engagement with Petroleum Authority of Uganda (PAU), Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) and Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) ensuring compliance on customs exemptions, duties, and logistics regulations.
- Leading and coordinating project logistics setup, including mobilization of machinery, vehicles, and materials, supporting site readiness and uninterrupted project execution.
- Overseeing end-to-end logistics operations by supervising supply chain teams, suppliers, freight forwarders, and warehouse operations to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant cargo delivery (off-shore operations).
- Supervising sub-contractor and vendor performance through Statements of Work (SOWs), KPIs, and SLAs, driving contract compliance, cost optimization, operational efficiency, and local content participation.
- Leading regulatory and compliance audits with Uganda Revenue Authority, preparing consolidated audit and performance reports for senior management and joint-venture partners Mcdermott Uganda Ltd and our client Total Energies EP Uganda.
- Preparing and reviewing detailed logistics and supply chain reports, including shipment schedules, purchase order tracking, risk assessments, and weekly performance dashboards for senior management and joint-venture partners Mcdermott Uganda Ltd and our client Total Energies EP Uganda.
- Identifying supply chain risks and supervising implementation of mitigation measures to minimize delays, cost overruns, and compliance exposure.
- Supervising logistics personnel management, including vehicle procurement coordination, regulatory documentation and recruitment of logistics staff in collaboration with HR and the respective regulatory bodies.
Supply Chain Coordinator - Sinopec International Petroleum Services Co. (Uganda) Ltd. - Uganda

- Communicate regularly with the Regulator (PAU) and other Government agencies such as URA, UNBS, NDA on exemptions of customs and duties and all other logistics related matters.
- Participate in the setup of project logistics including mobilization of machinery and site preparation for all materials and vehicles.
- Coordination with other members of the supply chain team, suppliers, logistics and shipping companies and warehouse managers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of cargo.
- Preparing statements of work for on boarded suppliers, follow up on contractors' services and performances to ensure that there is proper implementation of contracts. Reviewing these vendor contracts using the established KPIs and SLAs to identify areas of improvement, efficiency, cost savings and full compliance for local content participation.
- Conducting audit with Government bodies especially URA to ensure that we are in full compliance with the regulations set and generating audit reports for both Sinopec and Total Energies EP Uganda.
- Creating reports on shipment schedules and production schedules, reports for the supply chain activities including purchase orders, weekly and monthly.
- Identifying potential risks in the supply chain and developing plans to mitigate these risks.
- Coordinating with the procurement team on purchases of vehicles for the site, following up on full registration, required certificates and implementing changes as requested by UWA. Allocation of drivers and ensuring valid documentation is available for all support personnel.
- Coordinating and participating in recruitment of logistics staff along side the Human resource team.
Freight Manager (Imports & Exports) - Abundance Logistics Limited - Uganda

- Source vendors for transport such as shipping lines, airlines and trucks and other business necessities; government bonds. Negotiate competitive rates to attain good profit margins and ensure we have signed contracts with all the suppliers.
- Closely monitor our customs bond and audit with URA, follow through with compliance and ensure we always have our Tax clearance certificates for due diligence and full compliance.
- Participate in the setup of project logistics including mobilization of heavy machinery and lifting equipment.
- Carry out sales and marketing for business and actively support the sales team look for new business and grow the existing clientele.
- Ensure the timely handling of all projects and shipments to ensure that there are no delays that could translate into additional costs.
- Generate and consolidate stock reports of empty containers at the Inland Container Depots (ICDs), publish them to the operations team on a daily to keep track of empties that need to be returned to Mombasa on time to avoid demurrage.
- Submit all our vendor invoices for payments and follow through with Finance team on URA payments such as taxes, customs license renewal and other payments with government bodies.
- Coordinating and participating in recruitment of logistics staff alongside the Human resource team.
