I am an enthusiastic young professional looking for work in media, researching, or creative roles.
I spent two-and-a-half years working for the Tokyo/Chunichi Shimbun, a Japanese newspaper with a daily readership of around 3 million, as an Assistant Correspondent in their London bureau.
I have excellent research and writing skills, and ample experience of working in a dynamic and busy office environment, keeping to strict deadlines and playing a major role in the delivery of timely, accurate content to our readers.
I am interested in roles in which I can utilise and further develop these skills in an interesting and demanding work environment.
I studied Japanese Studies and History at the University of Sheffield between 2014-2018, including a year abroad at Tohoku University in Japan, receiving a 2:1.
I went on to study my Master's Degree in Japanese Studies, for which I received a Distinction.
