Accomplishment 1>. Tuscany Hair: (2000-2007)

I completed my apprenticeship during 2000 to 2005 and qualified on the 17 November 2005. I continued as a senior hair stylist at the salon and I was instrumental in contributing to the success of the business by developing the skills of newly qualified stylists and sharing my expertise with apprentices who required exposure to practical experience in all aspects of hairdressing. In addition I built up a substantial client base and as a result the salon benefited greatly from a financial point of view as a result of the relationships that I developed with my clients and their loyalty and satisfaction with the service that I provided to each client.

The salon was established In January 1999 , I was hired as an apprentice and I believe that I made a huge contribution to the continuing success of this business in my 7 years there.

Reason for leaving: offered an exciting opportunity to develop not only my hairdressing, sales and training skills but to gain new exposure to the management aspects of developing and growing a brand new business.

. Beauty on First Salon:(February 2008- August 2013)

As an established hairdresser and well known and recognized for my skills in the industry, I was approached by the owner of beauty on first to assist in starting and building the hair salon side of the beauty salon, I was the first senior stylist employed by the company and was actively involved in sourcing and recruiting an additional four highly motivated and experienced stylist during my period at the salon. I believe I added value to the salons expansion and growth and established good lasting relationships with both staff and clients alike.

Reason for leaving: I am extremely passionate about the industry and I love sharing my experience and skills with upcoming apprentices and and newly qualified stylists. I am passionate for growth and challenges, so when I was head hunted by M2 studio studio which was not yet open I had no doubt that it was an opportunity I could not pass and nurture yet another new salon into a booming business.

. M2 Hair Studio:

( September 2013-July 2016)

The salon was situated in an upmarket affluent suburb in Johannesburg. It was established 3 weeks prior to to my joining. My brief was to assist the owners establishment of the salon and help in recruiting stylists and apprentices in order to appeal to the clients high expectations.

At the same time I grew my own clientele to an extremely successful level that enhanced the turnover and exceeded all expectations to ensure the retention of salon based clients. The salon employed 8 senior stylist and I was the the second top earning stylist and contributor to the salon.

Reason for leaving: need for progression in my family life and career, I took a 3 month “break” to Ireland to see if it would be the right big move for my family and I.
