My social environment spans many different generations and I am able to communicate well with people of all ages, and form bonds with a wide variety of people. I am an analytical thinker and like to understand a problem in its entirety before looking for solutions. I see myself as being task-orientated and highly organized, which ensures that I meet deadlines and thus my work is of the highest quality.
This can be seen through my academic results.
A six week internship, under the operations manager at In2Foods was completed. In2Foods provide snacks to Woolworths as well as Marks & Spencer (M&S). Industrial engineering techniques such as time studies, line balancing and flow analysis was applied to increase worker productivity and reduce the labour unit cost. Additionally, a capacity prediction calculator was developed to improve labour planning over higher and lower demand periods.
2018-2021: BE, Industrial Engineering, University of Stellenbosch. Final year average: 66%, with 70% for thesis study.
2013-2017: Paul Roos Gymnasium, Stellenbosch. Matric average: 83%, with 4 distinctions.
