I have an undergraduate degree in Neuroscience and I have experience working in Biotechnology and Pharmaceuticals.
My most current role as a QC Analytical Analyst at Meiragtx has allowed me to gain invaluable laboratory experience in many analytical processes including expertise in Residual Benzonase and Residual Host Cell Protein testing using the Gyrolab equipment and the Gyros software including conducting validation and verification of the equipment, protocol and process development. Sub-vis particle testing using the HIAC system, Agilent HPLC system for Potency and Residual Triton X-100 testing. Conducting cell culture of COS-7 and MDCK1 cells for use in Infectious Titre assays for AAV virus vectors.
Alongside conducting qPCRs for determination of total vector genome titre and expression of genetic insert assays. I also carried out pH testing, osmolality testing, SDS Phage and Western blotting in characterisation of proteins in rAAV products. I have participated in equipment validation and process verification as well as Hypothesis testing and Investigations.
This role has enabled me to develop my GMP and GLP knowledge through completion of Out of Specification and Out of Trend result analysis, System Suitability and Sample Suitability reports, completing Issues, CAPAs, Change Requests and supporting SOP and protocol development using the QMS system. I also conducted training of new starter in cell culture, infectious titre, SDS, Western Blot, sub-vis particle testing and use and operation of the Gyrolab system.
