During my second year of university in Bristol, I worked as a Barback at Slug and Lettuce, during the weekends. Here, I gained experience behind the bar; I learnt how to pour pints and developed my drink-making skills.
My responsibilities included: stocking the bar, serving drinks to customers, managing inventory, cleaning, and assisting and anticipating the needs of bartenders. Furthermore, I had thorough knowledge of food and drink pricing, and was able to swiftly attend to any requests or queries from customers. During this job, I really enjoyed working as part of a friendly team, which encouraged me to take on more responsibilities as I adapted to my role.
