I served my apprenticeship as an electrician and went on to become a multi skilled engineer. Held a gas safety certificate for 5 years and worked on HVAC systems in buildings in the city of London. I then became a self employed electrical sub-contractor carrying out industrial and commercial work for electrical companies also in London and the Home Counties.

My ex wife went back to work and I looked after our children through school for 12 years while working with local builders on various construction projects. The works undertaken ranging from painting and decorating, all aspects of building work and landscaping.

I was also invited to tender and carry out work for my own customers.

After having been Self-Employed in the construction industry for many years I decided on a career change and became employed with a local family managed Funeral Directors. It was a privilege to carry out many aspects of work at the undertakers as well as building and grounds maintenance across the six branches owned by the family.

Now living with my partner on the Grand Union Canal I have been working on boats for customers while also renovating a 40ft canal boat that will soon be ready for sale.
