Richard McInnes

I provide food handling and food safety skills to beginners and those who require continuous training in food handling, premises hygiene and food safety. My specialism can be delivered in the work environment or classroom based, all of which I am comfortable with. My training and qualifications can be seen as food safety and hygiene to level 4 and I have a teaching qualification in the form of Cert Ed in life long learning.

During my career I have worked for large organisations such as Guinness GB, Roche Pharmaceuticals, NHS, Bupa and Kettle foods ltd, but also for smaller organisations such as Calderdale College and Bright Blue Foods. My career started in Manufacturing and has moved into Learning and Development which has given me great all-round experience of all aspects of a business, as well as different techniques to suit different styles of manufacturing, attitudes to learning, and needs of the business, by tailoring my auditing and training methods to be inclusive, innovative, interesting and relevant. I have shared this knowledge with my teams and learners to establish best practise, with results backed up by Independent Observations, Audits and excellent Ofsted reports.

This in turn has delivered increased learner and staff motivation, engagement, business improvements, along with efficient utilisation of knowledge and skills.

I graduated from Huddersfield university and Calderdale college with a Cert Ed, certificate in the life long learning sector
