- Supervising lifting operations to ensure work carried out safely and in accordance with approved lift plans

- Operated a LTM1300 safely and efficiently for 3 years undertaking complex lifts on HS2 and Hinckley point. Erecting tower cranes, lifting AHU's and bridges
- Operated cranes ranging from 60t to 200t in first 12 months of employment
- Carried out pre-use inspections and daily checks to ensure cranes were fit for operation
- Reporting defects, faults or maintenance requirements promptly
- Maintained clear communication with lifting teams using approved hand signals and radio communications
- Lifted and positioned loads accurately in accordance with lift plans and site requirements
- Performed lifting operations in compliance with LOLER and BS7121
- Attached secured and detached loads using correct lifting accessories and techniques

I started my career in the lifting industry in this role operating cranes ranging from 30t to 100t. I carried out various types of lifting including roof trusses, steel projects and also had the opportunity to work on film sets such as mission impossible and maleficent.

SOLDIER/LANCE CORPORAL - HM ARMED FORCES

I served in the Royal Engineers, initially as a soldier and was later promoted to Lance Corporal. I was deployed on operations all over the world. As part of my role as Lance Corporal, I had to manage a team on various exercises and operations, which required effective communication, motivation and leadership. I undertook training to operate cranes whilst in the army.
