Full time Software Engineer at Green Bit Technologies (2025-11 – Present)
After receiving a full time position as software engineer, I rapidly began to expand my knowledge. At the time I grasped the basic concepts of dynamic binding, states and the inner workings of the DOM. This meant that I had more interaction with the backend, using Laravel as PHP framework. I have also expanded my knowledge on Flutter and the ins-and-out of API's.
Internship at Green Bit Technologies (2022-04 – 2025-11)
I started an internship, working remotely for Green Bit Technologies on small projects. This gave me my first real interaction with the industry and its complex dynamics. I quickly realised I am only a drop in the ocean with my knowledge at the time, and I was more of an liability than an asset. In this time I was introduced to frontend frameworks like vue and tailwind, while trying to figure out the complexities of cross platform applications through flutter.
Workshop assistant at Auto Numberplates (2021-06 – 2021-07)
Experiencing physical labour and the efforts of balancing deadline expectations with customer standarts are some valuable skills I have learned in this month. Creating vinyl business signs, installing traffic sings and creating and changing custom numberplates on cars was the day-to-day operations. In this time I have learned the valuable lessons of working in a team and under customer applied pressure.
