Riley Richards

I am a fine art undergraduate with a diverse background in the arts. Over the past two years, I’ve worked in a gallery space, where I gained hands-on experience with exhibitions, installations, and day-to-day operations. This role has deepened my understanding of curatorial processes and taught me the importance of attention to detail in creating meaningful artistic presentations.

I’ve also had the privilege of working as an artist’s assistant for two major artists. These experiences allowed me to develop technical skills, contribute to significant projects, and gain invaluable insight into professional studio practices. Alongside this, I’ve done freelance work with production design companies like James Glancy, where I’ve been involved in creating imaginative and visually impactful environments.

These roles have given me the opportunity to collaborate with a range of creative professionals and refine my problem-solving abilities in high-pressure settings.

As I apply for master’s courses, I’m focused on expanding my artistic practice and delving deeper into conceptual and interdisciplinary approaches. My varied experiences have shaped me into a resourceful and adaptable artist, and I’m eager to continue developing my work while engaging with new ideas and challenges in a postgraduate environment.
