I am a 30 year old creative who is transitioning from freelance production work to education. In my personal life I have an interest in the impact exercise has on mental health and learning. I continue to make my own clothes and learn new skills, ranging from goldwork embroidery to historical recreation. I enjoy hiking, bouldering, cycling, kayaking and generally being active and outdoors.
I am a former freelance creative looking to move into the education sector as a Design and Technology technician. Previously I have worked in film and theatre as a freelance creative director, prop maker and costume maker. I have a degree in Theater Practise, specialising in Prop Making. In addition, I have over a decade of textiles experience, including pattern drafting, soft furnishing and prop costume.
I have school based experience working as a SEND Teaching assistant, faculty support technician for the Art and Design Technology department and a NQT teaching experience teaching KS3 Art and KS3 DT.
