My relationship and professional career in the property management and facilities industry began in the mid 80’s. I started with Glenny Chartered Surveyors in Basildon as a trainee sales negotiator after leaving a job in Engineering and before that in the Army. I built up vast experience and knowledge with Glenny and was soon promoted to Manager. In 1990/91, my-self and my brother started Robert Stephens Property Services in Grays. We quickly grew and it became a very successful and profitable business. We were letting and managing around 390 individual units on assured shorthold tenancies along with commercial letting, block and facility management, sales and property and land investment. We sold the company in 2004 to finance and explore new ventures I stayed on with Robert Stephens as a consultant on a golden handcuff deal until 2006.
