Oversee the management of 450 dairy cattle and 140 heifers; daily milking, managing daily feed rations, managing daily grazing ration and conducting plate metering, managing herd health including foot trimming, disease management, veterinary treatment, conducting AI in line with spring calving planning.

Organise transport logistics for up to 25,000 lambs per week to Yetminster depot. Communicate and liaise with farmers, farm managers, staff and hauliers to organise delivery and payment of lambs. Daily problem solving to ensure accurate collection and drop off times with both hauliers and farmers.
Taking sole control of Kings Winford, Birmingham; achieving weekly sales targets and working directly with heads of department including finance, processors, lairage and communicating upwards to company site managing director.
Robotic herd manager - D W Hodges

Sole responsibility for 150 dairy cows on all year round utilising robotic milking system. Daily taskings involved; utilising Lely computer software to identify cows remaining to be milked, health issues to be managed, pregnancy, heat monitoring and administering AI where required. Managing lameness of the herd through foot trimming.
Altered daily food rations according to milk production to ensure the highest yields possible were met. Sole responsibility for calf rearing; ensuring correct daily milk powder rations, monitoring for ongoing health issues, recording details correctly to apply for passports in line with BSMS (British Cattle Moving Service) regulations. Maintained daily communications with tractor driver to ensure taskings allocated and achieved.
