I've been closing high-ticket offers for the last eighteen months. Before that I spent seven years selling face-to-face and on the phone — broke a daily sales record at Freddies Flowers (54 in one day), averaged 23 telesales per day on a team that averaged 15, and was head-hunted by another London start up, Nonna Tonda to do the same for them. I went professional in acting first — credits with the BBC, Amazon Prime, Channel 4, and a BAFTA-nominated war film — which is where I learned to read a room, perform, and keep showing up.
The two careers are more alike than people think: both reward people who can understand and listen to the person opposite them. One thing I really believe is that hunger and being coachable will always beat pure talent. I'm big on understanding people properly and creating conversations where buyers feel clear and confident — not pressured.
