• Leading operation of various plants within production processes to achieve highest safety standards in accordance with work procedures and efficiency goals.
• Liaising with various departments such as Operations, HS&E, Quality, R&D, Procurement and Maintenance.

• Operate plants making plant adjustments as necessary adhering to relevant procedures in relation to control panels, valves, hydraulics, hot and cold calendar roll systems, hopper systems, waste systems, extrusions heads and impregnating and mixing tanks.
• Ensure plant routines such as starting up, shutting down, recommissioning when maintenance has been completed, carrying out safety checks and plant trip and alarm testing.
• Carrying out routine and first-line maintenance as required.
• Identify and problem solve disturbances in production and plant operations using lean management techniques and troubleshooting system to assist in getting to the root cause.
• Make visual checks on plant, identifying defects and reporting.
• Isolate, prepare and recommission plant and equipment before and after maintenance.
• Carry out sampling, analysis and testing as required.
• Competent in plant design and application of mechanical isolations.
• Competent in emergency response procedures.
• Carrying out fire warden duties.
• Operating various machinery such as Inspection plants, FLT’s and hoists.
• Working at hights and on ladders. Work both indoor and outdoor in high noise, hot/cold temperature extremes. Work in proximity to high voltage and rapidly rotating machinery/plants.
