I currently hold a Canadian work visa, entitling me to work in the country.
I have a PhD in immuno-oncology from Queen's University Belfast. I have almost 5 years experience working with in-vivo murine models of cancer. I am competent in techniques such as multi-parameter flow cytometry, cell sorting and various immunological assays (such as ELISAs and cytokine arrays) to name a few.
I also have over 5 years’ experience working with and maintaining different mammalian cell culture lines as well as primary cells and co-culture assays. I am proficient at immunohistochemical staining, imaging and analysis.
I have over 6 years of lab experience having worked for the past 4.5 years on a research project that involved phenotyping and targeting tumor associated macrophages in models of lung cancer, with more recent work also focusing on T Cell biology in these models. My master’s project was a yearlong project working on models of colorectal cancer. I then went on to work as a Research Technician for CV6 Therapeutics in the same field, therefore I have a varied knowledge in different areas of cancer research in both academia and industry.
I obtained a PhD in immuno-oncology in June 2023, from The Queen’s University, Belfast. I also hold an MRes in Translational Medicine and a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Engineering.
