Rory Burnett

I am a fourth-year BA (Hons) Business and Finance student at the University of Stirling, having developed a strong foundation in accounting and finance before broadening my studies towards business and wider commercial interests. Alongside my degree, I have worked at Lidl since 2021, regularly balancing full-time hours with university commitments. During this time, I have developed strong leadership, teamwork, communication and time-management skills, including leading inventory counts, supporting colleagues and taking on additional responsibilities.

I have also been trained and up-skilled as a baker, demonstrating my ability to learn quickly, adapt to new responsibilities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. I am a hardworking, commercially aware and motivated individual seeking a graduate role where I can apply my academic knowledge and practical experience while continuing to develop professionally.

Customer Assistant - Lidl GB

• I regularly take responsibility for leading inventory counts, coordinating colleagues and ensuring accurate stock levels across the store.
• Handle daily cash transactions and customer enquiries, resolving issues professionally and maintaining high standards of customer service.
• Support the training and development of new colleagues, helping them understand store procedures and settle into their roles effectively.
• Trained as a baker, preparing and maintaining bakery products in line with Lidl's quality, hygiene and presentation standards.

Finance Experience Programme - Barclays
