During my studies at university I was searching for a job that I could enjoy alongside my studies, every industry suited me in different ways but the one I love the most is being a barista! In my life I'm surrounded by creative things, I grew up learning the art of music and still am in that world; I also grew up with art work being a massive portion of my life, Cafes are full of art, the people, the coffee, the joy- I see working in a café as a living exhibition of community and warmth.

Shift Supervisor - Starbucks - Bradley Stoke
(2025-11 - 2025-01)
Barista - Starbucks - Worcester Park
(2026-01)
I transferred from the previous Starbucks store to this one as I had a relocation due to my studies ending in Bristol. I also decided to demote myself because the hours suited me better and I wanted to enjoy less pressure as I had just moved back home. However, this role challenges me still when in a fast paced environment I must be on hand at all times, I must be reliable in all capacities- especially in a franchise as big as Starbucks I must complete many of the same tasks as my previous role in Bradley Stoke except I clean a lot more (this includes taking apart the coffee machines, blenders, brewing machine and turbo chef and sanitizing them with the correct chemicals); I must communicate with customers a lot more as I should be flexible in all positions; I often help with delivery checking and organizing; my teamwork skills definitely are maximized as a barista as I must listen to supervisors and delegate between baristas.
I love being a barista but would be open to higher positions in the company or a more equal work system, as I could do more tasks although i'm content in the level of barista.
