Work experience placement - Leeds Housing Association

(2025-04 - 2025-07)

I have had a really positive work experience placement at Leeds Housing Association. During this time I assisted the staff with visiting the tenants every morning by greeting and getting to know all the clients with warmth and confidence, as well as helping them with anything they needed. This experience helped me build my own confidence in approaching and talking to all types of people leading me to have good relationships with all the tenants and staff.

By the end of the fortnight I could confidently go around by myself and check in on everyone confidently and independently. I learned that individuals have different needs, but good customer service can enhance their experience and enjoyment regardless. Throughout this time I also arranged activities such as bingo and a mini clothing sale for the community which was very popular and almost everyone came together for.

I also made calls to prospective tenants to invite them to view properties. I chose this job for my work experience as it offers help and support to those in need which links to the type of job I aspire to have.
