Teaching Assistant - Supporting children's learning - Thursfield Primary School

At my work experience, my role as a teaching assistant was to support children's learning and supporting the main class teacher. I have learnt that being a teaching assistant is an awarding job. Helping students to thrive personally as well as academically is an awarding experience. I became the students role model, supporting their educational needs and helping them to progress their own individual self. Through this experience, l have learnt that I can make a difference in someone's lives.

Waitress and bar - The Talbot (vintage inn)

I have been Working at the talbot as a waitress since 2022-2025, to ensure that customers have an enjoyable experience. I have developed amazing communication skills with customers and with other employees. I have also learned how to come up with resolutions if customers aren't happy with the experience so they can walk out happy with the outcome.

I have learned how to be independent by doing this as well as working as a team to make sure that everything goes smoothly for customers to have an experience that they have paid for. Throughout the couple of years working at the Talbot, I have trained other employees from scratch on how to use the I serves which takes orders, how to layout tables, helping those with allergies, how to pour drinks, how to change the barrels, upselling as well as telling them my experience whilst I have been working at the Talbot. By training other employees this have helped me with the leading skills as I want to progress in this industry in the future.

Cleaner in a secondary school - OCS company

Been working as a cleaner in a secondary school since October 2025-Aril 2026, to ensure that the standards of cleaning is excellent. I can do sections by myself as well as helping others who are in need. I know how to use equipment effectively. Im good at getting everything completed in a short amount of time. This has helped me to do multiple things at the same time and helped me with my time management.
