I am a recent graduate looking to apply my writing skills and start my career. I am an effective communicator, a friendly and polite individual who works well in a team. I am motivated and keen to take on new challenges which will enable me to learn and develop my abilities.

May 2022 - present: Vision Teaching

Vision Teaching is an independent education recruiting agency, providing candidates for roles in teaching and exam invigilation across London.

• I worked as an exam invigilator in a local school, ensuring that conduct was maintained according to exam regulations.

April 2022 - present: Hire Ground

Hire Ground is a recruiting agency. Through Hire Ground I have worked as a receptionist in

Bauer Media, a radio company, and as a membership intern in the Institute of Directors.

• Working in the reception at Bauer Media involved answering calls, providing relevant information when requested. I sent emails to other staff members and greeted guests.
• My work at the Institute of Directors consists of making engagement telephone calls to communicate with members, providing customer service by answering their queries, as well as recording their feedback and comments in an Excel spreadsheet.

January 2022 - April 2022: Tempest Resourcing Education

Tempest Education is a recruiting agency which works with academic institutions across the

UK, providing suitable candidates for positions in teaching and administration.

• My role consisted of tutoring literacy and numeracy to children aged between ages 7-10 in groups of three, with both online and in-person learning, as part of a COVID-19 catch-up scheme.
• I created my own lesson plans with guidance from a list of targets. I prepared a range of reading materials and maths worksheets with varying difficulty in order to adjust my lessons to the needs of each student.
• I received positive feedback from the children and the headteacher who was supervising the tuition programme.

May 2021 - July 2021 - Pexel Research Services

Pexel is a business to business market research company. After finishing my degree I worked as a telephone interviewer on a project concerning business resilience during the pandemic.

• After online training I joined a team who were all working on the same project. I worked independently with support from team meetings via Skype.

• I cold called individuals working in businesses from a given list and persuaded the respondents, who were often reluctant, to participate in a market research interview. This involved closely following a script with different pathways using Nebu software, accessed by logging on to a secure site.

May 2018 - September 2018, May 2019 - September 2019 - Kudos Research

Kudos Research is a market-leading business to business data collection company. Over two summers, I worked in three different roles: carrying out web research, interviewing and coding.

• I built a database of respondents from web research on specified industry sector / job titles and transposed their contact information into an Excel spreadsheet for other members of the team to contact them
• I cold called and persuaded business leaders to take part in market research interviews, and then carried out the interview using Nebu software.

• I coded interview transcripts using Nebu software, by reading transcribed responses and then assigning the interviewee’s opinions to a list of pre-specified responses. If many interviewees gave the same non-specified response I would have to use the software to create a new response category.

• My contribution to the team was valued. I received extremely positive feedback and was asked to return the following summer, and would have returned again if not for the Covid-19 pandemic.
