About

I am Saarah Rawat, a 16 year old enthusiastic, outgoing individual who has successfully completed her GCSE's with grades 6 and above. I am currently in Year 12 studying for my A-Levels as well as taking part in a 7 year course - The Aalimah Course which has been a transformative experience providing me with a comprehensive understanding of Islamic Sciences (currently in the 6th year). Going to college 5 days a week and mosque 6 days a week, 3 and a half hours each day can be quite challenging, however I am able to keep up with it and have been for 6 years.

Beyond school and mosque, I run a small crochet business wherein I create and sell plushies alongside other handmade items, showcasing my creativity.

Experience

Teaching children PE at Sports Studies - Batley Girls Sixth Form College (2025-03 – 2025-03)

In Sports Studies (March 2025) as part of our assignment we had to teach a lesson of PE to children in Year 5 and 6.

  • We were given a mark out of 14 as part of our coursework. I achieved full marks.
  • This showcases my hard working and resilient skills as some of the children were more difficult to work with than others, good communication skills as I can work with children and creativity as I had to alter the games for children with different needs.

Volunteering in a mosque fundraiser at Al Markazul Ilmi (2025-10-18 – 2025-10-18)

  • Made 80 croffles and sold every single one of them.
  • Made approximately £210
  • Name of mosque - Al Markazul Ilmi
  • Demonstrated resilience, simultaneous task management and a good saleswoman.

Advocated for the charity 'Simon On The Streets' at Batley Girls Sixth Form College (2024-06-06 – 2024-06-06)

In Year 9 my form advocated for a local charity. We chose 'Simon On The Streets'. I participated by making a speech in front of my whole year talking about the homeless and the charity itself.

  • Overcame my fear of public speaking by providing a speech in front of 200 people showing that I don't mind facing my fears.
  • Developed a passion for helping people in need.
